VISIT THOSE GREAT BOARDS

An interview with
Norwegian
Country Music Artist Arly Karlsen
They are working hard to promote, not only their song but, my music
general! They are a wonderful couple! “
When you recorded this song, did you ever think it would take you to No
1 ?
Well, I’m always optimistic about making my music heard, but I didn’t
really think It would be #1, but among the top 10.
You`ve been on Ecma chart before Mr. Karlsen. Not to many Norwegian
artist`s have. How come ?
Is it a matter of choosing the right distribution channels for your
music in addition to recording the right songs? Now don’t get me
wrong here. You certainly are a great artist but Norway has raised a few
but they rarely appear on ecma chart.
"Well, it’s hard for me to say, but I think it’s about how do humans
heart/mind react on a song!
How big part of that is the songwriter, the musicians, the studio, the
producer, the singer, the distribution and so on? All have an influence
of that more or less. A few years ago the Duet with me and Pat Roden
“Please Don’t Stop Loving Me” was #1 six times in a row and my tribute
song to Johnny Cash “Here’s to You (The Man in Black)” was #1 two times
in a row too, so something is done right here!
But I’ll thank especially Ross Allen at Hillcrest, and also Stuart
Camron at HotDisk, for being the main reason for that the song are been
heard all over the world."
Plans for the future Arly ? Do you have a new cd on it`s way ? How
about any new exciting songwriters?
After releasing "Here`s To You"
(The Man In Black) Arly made an impression on Johnny Cash`s brother Tommy.
quote; " That song really made me proud". This was said by Tommy while
guesting Jerry Mac`s radioshow. And Tommy should know Arly. Arly once sang a
duet with Johnny`s little sister Joanne Cash Yates. This event took place at
Nashville Cowboy Church and was broadcasted to millions of radiolisteners
over USA and also on the internet.
Even Joanne have made the same statements about Arly`s tribute to Johnny "
Brilliant" !
